Bodice-ripper. That’s what the popular sort of novel is called. A pirate ship. A pretty girl. A plank. Could a daring rescue by a handsome hero be far behind? But, here’s a twist. What if this time, the girl rescued herself and became the captain of her own destiny? Then she went on to a full and beautiful life filled with adventures. And she’d write about her life as if it were fiction. The novel would start with a beautiful woman wearing a floral scent and leather bustier, smoking a pipe. And it would end with a life well-lived.
