I ordered a sample of this on a whim, and admittedly had low expectations. I was expecting it might be a ubiquitous, but rather generic, sweet matcha cake fragrance. I am delighted to be wrong. This is what I wanted Penhaligons A Kiss of Bliss to be + a sweet surprise. You get matcha and sweet buttery biscuit, but the clover note clearly comes through and is quite unique. The floral green clover is such a lovely counterpoint to the gourmand accords. The matcha is a little earthy but not bitter. Great longevity and projection. I will definitely upgrade to a travel spray. I've been burned by so many promising looking scents from indie perfumers that turn out to be repackaged fragrance oils or a sugary mess, but so far everything made by Bri has truly been niche quality. I hope her brand finds success and can't wait to see what else she comes up with.
I ordered 3 sample scents and got Clover & Crumb as a bonus. Pleasantly surprised, its my favorite of all 4!! The reviews before me were right–its absolutely whimsical! The grass, butter, biscuit, and floral notes play with one another and create this girly curiosity feeling in me. Its light but very complex. Im obsessed. I will have to get a larger version when I run out of my sample. Thank you so much Bri!!
Beautifully packaged and came with an extra sample. Smells like how I picture a magical fairy forest smells like. Soft and perfect to ware around college campus. Perfect layering perfume as well!
I did not expect to like this as much as I DO NOW!! It's so unique, and the biscoff cookie smells super realistic <3
